You’re right Simon. I was an Elder for 25 years and served on well over 100 committees. I also was assigned by Circuit Overseers to about 10 Appeals Committees. I have never seen an original committee’s decision reversed by appeal.

So while you were disfellowshiping exjw's like myself most of your life, having innocent blood of people like me in your hands, you decided to retire on this site and pontificate from your throne of authority on the nature of truth and who has the right to protect it.

And now you want a gold star for knowing the inner workings of a judicial committee, well become an activist like myself put your face on camera and start offering advise instead of lurking in the shadows of a posts such as this one and trying to tear down as many exjws as possible;

Whether I choose to believe redsetter2 or not is based on my own personal criteria of vetting his information.Why do we give whistleblowers such a hard time is beyond me.Cant we all agree that we are independent individuals and can be our own arbiter of truth? Why do we need a committee of trusted exjw brothers like the Watchtower to make informed decisions of what we consider truth or not?

I think the freedom to impose these new changes at will is coming to an end, according to the new changes the circuit overseers will serve far longer than 3 years in a circuit and they will recommend elders not the other way around , if that is the case wiggle room for light treatment for friends and family by the local elders is coming to an end too, what do you think?

This following story is about the German exjw channel JZ Help that received a cease and desist letter from the Watchtower : "We embarked on a journey to shed light on human rights violations within the Jehovah's Witnesses community. It all began when our YouTube channel, initially named JW Victim Assistance, was abruptly suspended in August 2019 by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, claiming a breach of human rights. Subsequently, in October, we received a cease and desist notice, demanding the cessation of using the abbreviation 'JW' within a short timeframe. We had previously registered the trademark 'JW,' and during the objection period, an appeal was lodged by the organization. Seeking legal advice, we found the odds of winning a legal battle to be 50-50 due to the trademark already being registered by the Society of Pennsylvania. Moreover, the associated legal costs posed a significant financial burden, which we were unable to bear at the time. Consequently, we reached a settlement agreement, agreeing to discontinue the use of 'JW' and adopting 'JZ' instead. This prompted us to update our online presence and social media platforms accordingly, renaming our association and revising our branding.However, our efforts to move forward were met with another challenge in October 2020 when we received a similar cease and desist notice from the Jehovah's Witnesses religious community in Germany, despite the trademark already being registered. However, in January 2024, the court ruled in our favor, dismissing the Jehovah's Witnesses' lawsuit and granting our counterclaim as an association.This legal victory underscores the unjust nature of the cease and desist notices we received. It highlights the Jehovah's Witnesses' attempts to silence dissent and control the narrative. Despite the challenges we faced, the unwavering support of our members allowed us to persevere. Moving forward, we remain committed to exposing human rights violations within the Jehovah's Witnesses community and will continue our efforts with renewed vigor
